Hi or should I say good evening folks sorry couldn't get here any sooner have had family round all day and in fact they are all still here talking about going home so I have sneaked off to do a little blog posting because it's getting rather late now and you might think that we won't be doing much in class so I will move in a rapid fashion to get you all clued up and ready for action, here we go then ......... Reindeer Duo stamps from Creative Expressions..
Card one is 8x8
The background panel has been embossed with the Vintage Christmas Baubles folder and the Reindeer stamps from Creative Expressions have been stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink and highlighted with a denim blue Alcohol Marker Pen and glittered using a Quickie glue pen and Crystal Glitter.
The Snowflake stamps, Sentiment stamps and Embossing folder are all from Crafters Companion range.
The Poinsettia has been die cut from white card stock and glittered.
Weathered Wood and Iced Spruce Distress Ink pads were used on the back ground and and stamping.
The sentiments have been embossed with clear powder.
Card two is also 8x8 and I have kept the same colour theme for this one
Sorry for some reason the photo's I've taken are not very good and the cards look quite dull but they are much more colourful and sparkly in real time, you will just have to trust me on this one lol!
Oh!! and look out I have only gone and left my ribbon off the tag so it looks rather bare, that's what happens when you get visitors for tea when you are not expecting anyone so I'm afraid this is a rushed job this evening, well at least the snowman is still smiling and the reindeer look quite happy don't you think????
The embossed background in this card is one of the A4 Embossing folders Vintage Music from Crafters Companion and the framed sentiment stamp is from my stash and I think it is Marianne Design (Vintage Christmas)
Did I mention that I used Black Versafine and clear powder for the sentiments.
I have used some of my Glitter Jewels (Iced Crystal) from Cosmic Shimmer along the bottom of the tag.
Well that's it for this evening it's been one long day so I'll end here and see you all very soon x

'O' Christmas TREE -or- Holly and the IVY - the recipe is up to you !
Well good evening nice to be back hope everyone is feeling in good crafty spirits I'm just getting over yet another chest infection and would love to know why Oh why can't it just clear off once and for all because I'm truly sick and tired of feeling under the weather and not getting to do the things I really want to.... anyhow that's just another story and it's time to move on - rather swiftly I might add - as that is such a luxury to have - TIME - that is and it just keeps on getting away before you know it, I don't know about you lot but that's how it is for me!!! O K that's dealt with now back to the important stuff, the stuff of Crafters! Yey!
And now we are well into August already so lets see about some of that Christmas yes I said the word Christmas crafting. Thought we might as well make a statement type card this week, quite bold but not specific so it would cover a whole range of uses and not only that but a gift to match as well. Oooohhh!! What is it ?????? well don't get too excited but it's just a little something that is so easy to do and I think it's quite a cute but practical gift to give and I'm sure anyone you give it to would enjoy. It involves a Jar and some baking ingredients and a sprinkle of imagination. At least that's what it should turn out like but we shall see lol! - p.s.you can add your own dry ingredients to this once it's completed, well that's the plan hope you are following if not all shall be revealed I hope!
Card base is 8x8
The background panel has been embossed with the Vintage Christmas Bells embossing folder and a hint of Tea Dye Distress ink added to the edges.
The centre panel is kraft card embossed in the Perfect Poinsettia from the Vintage Christmas range by Crafters Companion and a Copper wax has been added to highlight the flowers.
The leaves are cut from the Die'Sires Ivy Die out of white card stock and coloured with three shades of green Spectrum Noir Pens and the Xmas trees are cut from the O Christmas Tree Create-a-card Die and inked with a Tea Dye ink pad. The sentiments and frame die are also from Crafters Companion. I have stamped the sentiment in Black Versafine and embossed in clear powder.
I have added a little crystal glitter with my Quickie Glue Pen to highlight the Christmas Trees and leaves, shame you can't really see it on the photo's.
Well That's not a lot of effort for quite a biggish card a little die cutting, a small amount of embossing, a touch of colouring and a tiny bit of inking and not to mention a smidge of heat embossing for your sentiments, stick it all together and what do you know "job done". That's just how it should be and then there's the gift to match, so where is it I hear you ask?????
Well sorry to disappoint but no photo's I finished it off today but didn't get a chance to take a photo so you will have to use your imaginations and as you would expect it has been done the same to match the card with a few added little extras, ha! ha! not teasing honest! Did I mention that there is a Poinsettia and some snow flakes included just for the decoration, Ooohh! and Clear Embossing Powder is also involved.
See you all soon x
