Amaze and Flourish - Swirly Grasses by Chloe

Monday greetings, hope you are all well I and at home where's its nice and warm.  Well don't know about you but my weekend disappeared in the blink of an eye, had a nice day with my sister in law and friends on Saturday and Sunday was not going to be a quiet one as we had lots of family round for the day and my energy levels are some what depleted today with lots of tidying up to do Oh well we will have children lol! Love them all really just wish they would make an appointment, just kidding folks.

Moving on lets see what's in store this week, if you've not guessed already we will be using a rather nice flourish style stamp called Swirly Grasses by Chloe and I have added in a couple of text stamps from my stash of Crafters Companion goodies along with two of the embossing folders. I also decided to use that beautiful butterfly die that we did a few weeks ago thought it went well with the flourish stamp. Hope you like them, forgot to mention I stamped one of Sheena's Blooming Beautiful flowers to show how well the flourish stamp makes a perfect background for any image.

As per usual I have used Black Versafine and Clear Powder.
Distress Inks:- Weathered Wood, Bundled Sage, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.
So! What did I do with it all I hear you say, lets see (fingers crossed lol!)

Card one is 8x8.
Here you will see that I have also included some bluish glitter glue into the mix, well you just have to add a touch don't you.

Anti-Static bag used before any stamping and heat embossing.

This is the Flourish stamped out twice and embossed in clear powder.
I have gone round the panel to give a little colour with my distress ink and blending foam.

I have used the Wood Grain folder to emboss both the white and black panels.

The flowers are from Sheena's stamp set Blooming Beautiful, think that the Flourish stamp makes all the difference it's brilliant for panels and borders.

Don't know if you noticed but just behind the large flower I added some Spiders Web, looks much better in real time.

Onto card two.

A4 half fold.

Once again the background is embossed with the brick wall folder and inked with the Bundled Sage.

The centre panel has been made in the same way as the first but this time I have inked into the middle then spritzed lightly with my mini mister which contains just water.

Again I have just used a tiny amount of my glitter glue on and around the flourishes.

well that's it for this week, have to say I'm loving this flourish stamp, hope to see you all soon.

Wrought Iron Swirls & Honey Flower *Stockholm, Copenhagen or Oslo you choose* !

Hello, hope you all had a good weekend as I did, went to the NEC in Birmingham yesterday with Louise and Ian, we went to look round the trade show to see if there was anything new and interesting and although it was shall we say an eventful day there didn't seem to be much to shout about although I did see a couple of new products that will be coming to market in the not to distant future and of course some that have already been launched on C&C. I did bump into some of my Crafters Companion friends and team buddies including Fiona who looked extremely busy demoing the new A6 Create--a-card dies. We chatted to quite a few people including Sue Wilson and Julia Watts who were very friendly and extremely helpful, Julia was
playing with one of Creative Expressions new products which both Louise and I were quite taken with but that's for another time loll! Sorry you'll have to wait as I need to move on with our class for this week....

Honey Flower- Stamps to Die for - by Sue  Wilson.

As you can see in photo one I have stamped a background onto pearl card using Clear Ink and White Embossing Powder.
(Anti-Static bag)

I have also used my Shaded Lilac D.I. on the background and also on the die cut panel.
I did add a touch of Dusty Concord to the stamped panel.

The main image is the Honey Flower stamp (Black Versatile, Clear Powder)

I added Purple glitter glue and some of the Cosmic Shimmer Pearl glue.

The ribbon is seam binding.

The sentiment is a stamp from Die'sires Nature set (Crafters Companion)

Onto card two.
8x8 square.

Thought we could try one of Sue's stamping techniques for this card in fact I think she may have shown this last week on the TV. I did tell her we would be doing it this week and she said "Yes this is great for a class to make" so you see we even have her approval as well as her stamp.

 Wrought Iron Swirls.

This time I have just stamped the design in Black I decided not to emboss with powder as it may prove just a touch too tricky for you as you need to stamp all three pieces of cream card at the same time, don't panic it's not as difficult as it might seem but a little tip if you are in need, just use a small piece of your low tack tape to hold them in place. All will be revealed don't worry loll!

Ok so I think I have told you just about everything for each card except I did use a couple of dies from my stash to cut the flourishes and the ivy oh and the plain panel is from a Tonic set.
See you soon x

Wait before I go I didn't tell you that after the Trade Show closed we went to the British Crafting Awards Ceremony and among quite a few companies and TV guest presenters you are all familiar with and yes even Dean was there, well Crafters Companion won a couple of categories and much merriment was to be heard on their tables I can tell you.  Well done CC.

The Case of the Missing Photos - or - It's the Last Post

 DL shaped card.

As you can see the stamps have been used to make this card.

I have used my glue pen and glitter for the center of the flowers.

Peel-off version for the second card.

As you can see there's enough to make four toppers on just one sheet plus extras.

This is card two, and you will see that both panels have been embossed, the smaller panel has been embossed with the new Wood Grain folder from Crafters Companion, and the larger one with the Swirly Vine folder

I have painted the Kraft card square with white Gesso before it was embossed and then sanded back.
The main image panel is created with a black Peel-off onto gold pearl card but the flowers have been stamped and heat embossed.

I chose to use Silver glitter glue and a small pearl for the centers.

The leaves have been die cut from parchment and then colored with an Alcohol Marker.

As they say - That's All Folks

Hope it's worked this time x

Is it a Stamp? Is it a Peel-off? Well it's both with Woodware

Don't believe that I'm having to do this once more already typed this post out three times earlier today and each time it's gone a stray, disappeared without trace then plain just wouldn't work and now I'm getting very short on patience Mr Blogger and feel like giving up, so not fair as I have been trying all day and it's gone dark outside and this is my last attempt so behave or else Ooooohh!!!!! : (
Apologies to everyone who has been waiting to find out what's in store for this week and believe me when I say no one is more frustrated than I having typed out more or less the same things over and over until I don't know what day it is lol! Anyway once more I'll try again and this is most definitely the last time before I go totally gaga!!!!
I used my Black Versafine
Clear Embossing powder
Quickie glue pen
Glitter pink or crystal
Flat ended paint brush
Alcohol marker light brown or caramel
Silver Stickles Glitter glue

Well I think that might be it but don't hold your breath, now all that remains is to do battle with Blogger versus my photos who will win? That is the question??????????
Forgive me if the photos aren't in order or they lack a little lustre.
It seems like photos are a no go area so I will take my leave and try to add them in a separate post, so bye for now and I'll see you soon.
Hope this works as patience has almost worn out and anger is due to arrive x

Simply Scrumptious ********** by Craftwork Cards*********

Good Evening to one and All, hope everyone has had a good weekend mine has been extremely quite for the first time in I don't know how long as we didn't get the usual visitation from various children with grandchildren in tow and I have to say it was rather nice to be able to work on the class card's at leisure in total peace and quite and actually have them done and dusted early for once, early for me anyway loll! I must admit that I have enjoyed making these two cards because I didn't have to over think them as the beautiful papers in the Craftwork Cards 8x8 Scrumptious Pad did the hard work for me the only hard bit was trying to choose which one to use first as they are all so pretty, there are 36 papers in 6 designs and you also get a pack of matching Card Candi with the pad.

I decided to use a couple of floral stamps from a Woodward set that we will be going to use in an up and coming class but for now it's all about the paper and to make the cards in question I have only used one and a half pages along with some of the new A4 gold pearl, white linen pearl and smooth cream card that has just arrived in at Crafty Knits and I for one would most definitely want some - no Need some in my card stash for the very near future before it is all sold and I miss out which is what usually happens in my case.

Right here goes it's photo time and we all know what has been happening of late so I'm not going to say a word, think positive thoughts and...........................................

Well not quite in the right order but I don't think at this point I should be so picky if you get my drift and at least the photo's have loaded on my first attempt Hooray!! Moving on swiftly before????? You know what!

Ok. So the first card is a 6x6 in a tent shaped card and as you can see I have cut an aperture in the front using a Spellbinders Label die.
This card is made out of the new smooth cream A4.

So far so good, in this photo you can see that I used my D. Inks Walnut Stain and Rusty Hinge along with a Clear ink pad.

Coloring pencils and Blending pen.

Quickie glue pen for the Copper brown glitter.

The flower above have been stamped in Vintage Photo.
I also used some Clear Embossing Powder.

Some flowers have been stamped onto the paper and some have been die cut.

Well at this point  I seem to be having a little trouble with the order in which I wanted to show you so apologies in advance but I will just keep going anyway and hope for the best.

This photo does not do the new card justice as the lighting is not good.

The ink pad above is Antique Linen.

Card two is a7x7.
The base card has been embossed with the Crafters Companion Hessian folder.

Centre panel is the new White Linen Pearl card and has been distressed with Tea Dye, Frayed Burlap and the Antique Linen.

Again the photo's do not give a true likeness or show any of the Glitters.

The flower corner has been cut from one of the papers and you could get two of theses from one piece.
I seem to have lost a couple of the pictures so before everything decides to disappear I will stop, sorry again for the poor quality of my photo's really must try and take them earlier in the day when the light is better.  Oh forgot to mention that I have also used my Black Versafine ink pad but I guess that's no surprise to you loll!

Well that's it for now, ðŸ‘€ see you soon
