Well finally, at last I'm able to pick up my tablet and write this post for our classes this week and as it is so late in the day I'd better make it quick before I fall asleep. Bank holiday and everyone home waiting to be fed, typical. How time just disappears when you really don't want it to, never mind it's the story of my life lol ! and I doubt that it will ever change not unless I win the lottery, retire and move to a distant and very sunny land ha ha!
OK so lets move on to reality and what's happening in class this week, I used two of the Christmas Decoupage Stamps from Imagination Crafts and added a touch of their new Starlight Paints just for good measure, I know you're all loving them as much as I am, they are fabulous and so vibrant, truly versatile indeed. I also used another new product Cloud Inks from Creative Expressions, yet another must have to add to my ever expanding collection of crafty stash.
I have to apologize for the poor quality of my photo's the light was really bad so you won't get the true colours in each card, so if I get chance I'll add some more first thing tomorrow.
Card one is 6x6
The backgrounds have been coloured with cloud inks.
As you can see the poinsettia has been painted with the starlight paint Diamond which actually looks more like a gold colour.
Just peeping from behind you can see the owls on the second card.
These photo's are horrendous so please trust me when I say they look much nicer in daylight.
Black Versatfine and Clear Powder.
A fine paint brush.
Smoothies blending tools.
Starlight Paints, Diamond, Cyclamen and Dark Orchid.
I will have to post a picture of card two in the morning as I just couldn't get a decent one to show you, so TTFN and I'll see you all soon.
Can you believe it still cannot get a better shot as it's so dull outside so you won't see the true colours in these photo's. See you later x

On the First Day of Christmas - John Lockwood style
Hi everyone, hope you all enjoyed your weekend and raring to get back into the swing of things i.e. craft class that is and as we have had a break for a couple of weeks I thought we'd keep things fairly simple so I have put together a couple of cards using a set of John Lockwood's new stamps from Creative Expressions, one is The Twelve Days of Christmas and then other is A Partridge in a Pear Tree, they are certainly something a little different for your Xmas cards.
Let's get going and see what you think!
As you can see here is a photo of the products that I have used which include three of the new Cloud Inks along with the White Gold and Menthol Starlight paints, some Silver Gilding flakes, White, Gold and Clear Embossing Powders, Clear and Black Soot ink pads, Black Versatfine and a Cosmic Shimmer gold pearl glue. Forgot to mention I also used my Silver Gilding Wax.
I used my Blending eggs to colour the cardstock and a paint brush to cover the card with the Starlight paint before die cutting with my Holly dies by Sue Wilson
Card one is 8x8.
The embossing folder is Diamond Snowflake from Crafters Companion. It's a pity you can't see the shimmer one the holly leaves from the Starlight paint.
Card two is A4 half fold.
The background is coloured with the cloud inks then stamped and embossed with white powder except for 5 gold rings which is embossed in the gold powder and painted with starlight white gold.
So I think that's everything for now, you might want to bring your anti-static bag and your heat gun to cut down on waiting time for the heat embossing.
Did you spot the mistake yet?????????
We'll find out tomorrow loll.
See you soon x

Nordic or Christtmas in the Country You decide......
Well here we are again and hello to all. Why does it seem like weekend is disappearing faster than ever can't believe it's Monday already and two thirds of it has somehow gone by without me noticing, I dare not blink in case it's Tuesday and I've not even finished the things I have to do today lol !
Best get a move on before any more time disappears and I convince myself I've lost the plot ha ha !
What else is new ?? Anyway this week we are using some rather nice Christmas papers from Docrafts Papermania and I think that they may just be the nicest one's to date, well in my opinion that is.
I have decided to team them up with my Crafters Companion embossing folders and stamps from their Nordic range which like the papers are also new and they work together so well as you will see. One 8x8 card in more traditional colours and one C5 landscape card in cool colours you might say, these lovely papers lend themselves to both styles and also to many more.
Dishes inks, Peeled Paint, Chipped Sapphire, Fired Brick, Tea Dye.
Black Versatfine.
Quickie glue pen.
Paint brush, I painted my images with my Aqua Pens, you could use pencils for his instead.
The die cut trees are from the tartan style papers from the pack which I forgot to mention are 12x12 and you get 32 in total and there are two designs of each pattern, great value!
Both cards are a mixture of the papers, embossing folders, inks and a touch of die cutting.
