Fly Away

I know I'm late, very late but better late than never.
Sorry folks wasn't feeling great yesterday and just didn't get around to posting for our next classes. So to make up for it here is a speedy replacement.
I have gone back to Sara's Flutterby collection ad it was requested last week so I thought why not?
I have used both the large butterfly stamps one on each card, the smaller one with its die stamped and cut out of parchment and it looks ever so pretty.
I have also used :-
Versamark ink pad
Memento Desert Sand
Izinks - Miel, Outremer, Menthe and Petrole

Ivory Embossing Powder but White would work as well

Country Cottage Window

Hi! So it's 2.30 in the afternoon and I have just finished making two cards for our next crafting session in class and managed to "kill two birds with one stone" so to speak as they are also a couple of samples made with the brand new 3D Embossing folders and matching dies from Crafters Companion which I will infact be demoing this coming Saturday at Inspirations - Card Craft Plus and home of Hunkydory.
There are six new folders along with sets of Dies and Stamps that all compliment and work together.
Anyway lets take a look at the Country Cottage Folder which was the one I chose to use first. I have teamed it up with the Cottage Window and Rose Vine Die sets.
Before I show you any photos here is a little list of what else I have used......
Antique Linen and Pumice Stone Distress Inks
Pixie Powders:
Peacock Green
Golden Mint
Silver Dream
Silver and Gold Gilding Wax
Spectrum Noir pp3 (pale pink)
A selection of Greens and Blues from the new range of the Izink ink pads
Water mister and blending tools
Think that is just about it so next step is photos!
Back in a minute or two lol!
Back with just a couple of pics.

Tap on a photo to enlarge.
The Window die matches over the Embossing folder so you can use it with or on its own its up to you, nice to have the choice!

Think it would look nice with a verse or sentiment stamped inside of the window, you could even use this one on a Christmas card, stamp a Christmas Tree inside and add a little die cut holly around the outside.
See you soon x

Noel - Noel

Hi! Everyone, brrrrrr! bit chilly out there today sure is starting to feel like winter is on its way, time to dig out those big wintery jumpers lol!
Well here's another Christmas die to get your teeth into it is from Creative Expressions Paper Cuts Collection called Christmas Tree no less and I have teamed it up with a set of stamps that we have used before, not sure if it was last year or not anyhow thought I would give it another whirl. The stamp set is called First Noel by docrafts Papermania.
Oh! and guess what????? I've not made a card this week instead I have made a gift box which may take us a little longer but if it looks like you are going to be done early then we can make a card to match we shall have to wait and see 🤔
So maybe you would like to take a look, hope you like it and by the way if you are not a GREEN person then you can make it in another colour of your choice.........

Two part die set  Christmas Tree

Docrafts stamp set

Izink ink pad
MENTHE and a
Blending smoothie

Clear ink pad
SILVER
Embossing Powder

I have used a GLUE PEN and glitter to highlight some of the flowers and also on the Tree, don't think it shows up very well in the photos.
Thought it would be nice to put a gift in.

Think it might need a ribbon but I don't have the right colour so I'll see what we have in the shop tomorrow.
See you soon x

Happiness is like a Butterfly - Crafters Companion

Hi! Good afternoon everyone just about finished the cards for our next lot of classes and I decided to go with what seemed to be very popular on the Demo Day we just had and that would be the beautiful Butterfly stamp and matching die from Sara's latest Flutterby collection and I am really pleased with both cards, don't forget they always look much nicer in real time.

Not added the sentiment to this one yet thought I had better get some photos taken before the light gets any worse.

As you can see I have used one of the border embossing folders and highlighted it with Pumice Stone Disttess ink and my Gold Sparkle pen all from the same collection.
Both cards are 7x7 in size.
The background has been created with the new Izink ink pads and some more of Sara's stamp sets.
I have to say I love this butterfly and its so easy to use because of the matching die.
The ink pads blend really well together and there are lots of colours to choose from.

We now have a few of the new Izink ink pads in the class room for you to try so you will be able to compare them to the Distress ink pads and you will be pleased to know that they are less in price.
Black Versafine
Clear Powder
Quickie glue Pen
Anti Static bag
Gold Sparkle pen
Clear Sparkle pen
Black Starlight Paint
Pumice Stone and Bundled Sage Distress inks
Blending smoothies
See you all soon x

Spirit of Christmas - A Little Bit Festive & Cute

Good morning! Back once again with our next set of Classes and of course it has to be yet another one going towards our fast approaching Festive Season ☃
For this next class we will be using this lovely Snowflake Circle die by Precious Marieke which creates a beautiful frame and I have teamed it up with a little bit of Sheena's Festive along with a touch of Sara's Cute collection, they all work really well together I have to say.
So the recipe for these two cards is as follows :
6x6 Card
Sparkle Pens
Black and Amethyst.
An alternative to these would be Dusty Concord and Black Soot distress inks and a Clear Sparkle pen.
Sheena's Winter Snowflakes sentiment stamps.
Cute Christmas Winter Owls.
Tacky Glue and 3D Glue Gel.

7x7 Card
Sheena's Winter Wonders snowflake stamps.
Clear Versamark ink.
Wow Silver Hologram Sparkle embossing powder.
Distress inks
Gathered Twigs, Iced Spruce and Faded Jeans.
Black Versafine and Clear Powder.
The tiny snowflakes are from the Cosy Penguin Cute Christmas die set.
Stag die from Sara's Scandinavian range.
Think that's just about it for now, bet you would like to see some photos though??? Well friends I will oblige but I have to go take them first so in the words of Leonie " Bear With!" lol !

A little bit of a mixture

Hi all! Just to let you know that we will be having a class this week even though Louise is chilling out in sunny hot Espana lucky thing!!!
I have chosen one of my sample cards from our demo on Saturday as quite a few people asked for it and I know several of you will have already bought the latest Crafters Companion magazine and thought it might be a good idea to use some of the freebies that came with it. By the way.....
THANK YOU to everyone that came to support us it was a really good day.
OK for the first card which is A5 in size I have used the Scandi Bird and little foliage dies along with the mini Lace folder and two colours of my Pebeo Gilding Wax (Empire and Renaissance gold).
I have created a background with acrylic paints and embossed it in the Floral 3D folder then added the gilding waxes.
Not quite finished it yet so I will be back later to fill you in on the rest.......

Back shortly!

Finished first card except for the sentiment which I might just die cut.
One of the layers has been painted with Topaz Starlight paint.
Here you can see where I am going with the second card, same style in different colours and I have introduced some Silver gilding wax with the Empire Gold.

Better go and get it finished then lol!
See you later x

My Apologies

Good morning my fellow crafters! How early AM I? and with good reason but not good news, so sorry to tell you that I can not make class this week due to my larger than usual work load as I am in the middle of prepping for my up and coming demo's this weekend, 2nd & 3rd September. Not one but two and unfortunately for me they are for different product ranges so I don't have that luxury of time to prep a class as well, hope you will forgive me. Sorry!
The good news is if you are free on Saturday the 2nd you will be able to come to my demo at the shop......Crafty Knits.....in Chorley ( find it on face book) its free so just turn up and you can join us for some fun and most likely lots of laughter and even maybe a brew or two not to mention some wonderful new products in the latest Christmas ranges from Crafters Companion and Sheena Douglas.
Hope I will see you then if not see you soon.

Long Tall Flowers - Woodware

GOOD EVENING! as good old Alfred Hitchcock used to say, well I know its late so please excuse but late is better than the alternative so to speak. Busy days I must endure at least for a few weeks yet to come so here it is as I know you have been waiting to see what we have for class this week and yes I can confirm it will have nothing to do with CHRISTMAS. In fact floral is our next venture with two lovely stamp sets from our trusty old friend Woodware.
One 7x7 card and the other is 5x7.
Ok so I have just been interupted I will be back as soon as possible with all the most important details...............soon!
And here we are!
Distress Inks:
Broken China
Peeled Paint
(If you have the Distress Oxixde inks they will work better)
Sparkle pens:
Clear, Moonstone, Moonlight, Cosmos, Inspired Violet and Rose Quartz.
Alcohol Pens / Spectrum Noir
A variety of colours in pinks, purple, greens and blue.
Black Versafine
Clear Powder
Clear ink
White Powder
Water spritzer
Think that's just about it but you can bet your bottom dollar I've forgot something, soooo me lol!
Oh I know ! Photo's?
Well if I take them now they will most certainly be rubbish as its well past going dark now, so I will do my best to add them first thing in the morning.
See you later x

Woodland in Winter or any Season

Good afternoon to everybody, these weeks are getting shorter and shorter if that's at all possible anyhow we just have to keep on going don't we! and this week we are taking a visit to the woodlands with these two beautiful die sets from Sue Wilson's Woodland Collection - Birch Tree Forest and Forest Animals. The Sentiment die I have also used is from her Festive Collection.
Both sets from the Woodland Collection could be used for so many different themed cards and cover every season so don't think of them as just for your Christmas makes because I have chosen to turn them into Winter/Xmas type cards. I think these die's will be so useful indeed.
So here is a very short list of things I have used :-
Chalk inks or Oxide inks
Blue
Pink
Yellow
Water Spray
Blending ink (Onyx Black or Black Soot)
Glue Pen and Glitter
Pearl Gilding Polish or Wax
 A5 card.
Sorry the pics aren't very good but st least I have managed to take some this week lol!

I used my new Sue Wilson Twisted Holly embossing folder to create the frame on this 7x7 card.

I think this style of card could be quite easily made into a mans card.

Change the sentiment on this card and send it to someone who has a December birthday, change the colours completely and it can be any time of the year.
Well that's it for this week see you soon x

On the Diagonal

Morning! No! no Christmas for this week you might be pleased to know, then again you might not lol! Sorry I don't have much time this week to go into depth with this weeks post for class so it is definitely short and sweet. I will give you a run down on the craftiness that I used to create two cards one being an 8x8 and the other is a 7x7.
Is there die cutting involved ? Yes! not too much. Is there inking and stamping involved ? Yes using the Colour Cloud blending ink Decadent Teal which by the way is from the Phill Martin colour range, two die sets from Sue Wilson and a lovely big Swirl Stamp from Sara's latest Collection (Scandinavian no less). Sentimentally Yours Everyday Sentiment Stamps also by Phill Martin.

Along with the teal blending ink I have also used:-
Black Versafine
Frayed Burlap Distress ink pad
Teal Ink Spray Mist
Cosmic Shimmer Teal Pearlescent glue
Clear Powder
Gold Starlight Wax
Clear Sparkle Pen
Alcohol Pens in Coral and Magenta (in other words peachy pink and a darker pink)
I think that is just about everything except for the Grand Floral die set which was part of Sara's English Country Garden collection used as the embellishments.

Now I must dash no more time left will come back later to add some photos.
See you later then x
