A Little Birdie told me - Creative Stamping Magazine Issue 62

Hi everyone sorry I'm a tad late with my post had a bad day today so I'm not going to linger any length of time waffling on, I decided to use the fantastic set of free stamps Winter Woodland by Sheena Douglass which came with the Creative Stamping Magazine issue 62 and what a great set they are.
I have used the bird on a branch and the cottage and although they would make some great Winter / Christmas cards I thought this one would be good for a man's card for a change.
I stamped the images in a Brown Versafine Clair ink pad and used Distress inks to paint with
The card base is made from two pieces cut to my own measurements and scored at 1" and 2" at either end.

Distress inks...
RUSTY HINGE
WALNUT STAIN
VINTAGE PHOTO
Also a couple of other link's in....
Yellow
Black
Blue
For the next card I thought we should use a Clear Ink pad and some Silver Embossing Powder and the delicious Pixie Powders........
MANGO BLAZE
SUN YELLOW
TEAL WASH
SILVER DREAM
MIDNIGHT SKY
It would look just as good done in Gold embossing and Autumn shades.

Back soon xx
Here are the photos for card 2

If you click on the photo and enlarge it you will see the Pixie Powders to full effect.
Done for another week. See you very soon x

Hi! to all, well its that time of week again and time to tell you what we have in store for our lovely ladies who will be coming to class this week. I decided to revisit a floral die that I think should get more use than it has done and I think you may just agree, of course I'm talking about the John Lockwood die Bee Balm Flowers. I have teamed it up with two of his newer dies Gerbera Panel Corner and Regal Flourish, they all go together nicely.
Also I used the Stencil that was part of the Free Gift with the last issue of Crafters Companion Inspiration Magazine and a touch of Starlight paints from Imagination Crafts  so let's see what you all think......
Clear Ink pad
White Embossing Powder
Anti Static bag
Heat gun
I must say that the photos do not do any justice to the finished cards.
The cardstock was coloured with my Dark Cherry Gilding Polish before die cutting the flowers.
A touch of Silver Glitter Kiss to highlight
7x7 Card.
The panel behind the corner die has been coloured with Starlight paints Cyclamen and Amethyst

5x7 Card.
The background has been stamped in Clear Ink and Embossed in White Powder before colouring with Izink Miel and Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink.
As you can see I have used the Banana Yellow Starlight Paint through the Stencil.

This time I have die cut the flowers and flourishes in plain white card then added a touch of Crystal Glitter Kiss to the flower.

Not found the right colour of ribbon yet for the tag but that will finish it off nicely when I do.

If you have the Stencil from the magazine then bring it with you that way you won't have to wait.
Well that's it for now see you soon x

Chloe's Christmas

Hi folks, well I managed to survive my first week back but only just. I must say that I found it quite hard and I suffered for my art lol! all day Friday infact I could hardly walk anyway moving on and with a touch of luck we'll get through our next class which is going to be "CHRISTMAS" and to do this we will be using the Freebies from the latest Chloe Magazine so if your were lucky enough to get one then bring your set with you.
OK so the first card I can show you is 5x7 and I have used the Free Embossing folder and the stamps. The flowers are embossed with clear ink and clear powder, coloured with a pink ink pad. The background is Green Starlight paint onto black card. Sentiment is stamped in Black Versafine.
I used my dries clear Tacky glue and glitter to accent the Poinsettias  but they still need something in the centre.

Onto the next card and this one is a 6x6.
This one requires a little die cutting but not too much. I will say that I have used the John Lockwood Poinsettia die for the flowers instead of Chloe's die simply because they are slightly bigger and therefore less cutting, no reason why you couldn't use the Chloe die it would just take a little longer and that's not such a problem when you are making them at home however in class is always a time issue.
Hopefully if we manage to finish in good time I will show you a technique using her die.
Just going to pop off and get some lunch in order to take my painkillers and then I 'll  be back with photos of card two see you in a wee while x
Hi again, here is the second of our makes hope you like them both.
Sorry photos not that brilliant, I used a dark green Spectrum Noir pen to colour some of the die cut foliage and Stamps and ink pads to create the background under the flowers.
The Poinsettias are cut from Parchment that I covered with Sparkle Medium before die cutting, I think the Glitter Polish will work just as good.
Don't forget to click on the photos to enlarge them.
See you all soon x
Hopalong ☹ I mean Sheilagh xx 😂

Ahhh ! Ahhh! TISSUE and Stamps !

Well Hello ! I guess it's been a while and yes you may have noticed that I have been absent for 14 weeks no less and for those of you who didn't know I had a wee accident and fractured my ankle on both sides which was down to a certain puppy's rope toy that had been left outside my back porch door which I did not see and so the rest is history but thankfully I'm on the mend all be it slowly but surely. I would like to thank all the lovely people for all the kind words and well wishes that you sent me it was much appreciated xx
So what have we in store for our first class back well I had better tell you, this is quite an old technique which I have to say Francoise reminded of recently so I thought you would like to try it.
It involves the use of tissue paper and spray inks with a clear layer of embossing powder over the top.
Hope you like it OH! and by the way messy fingers may also be involved lol!

Black Stazon ink pad
Versafine ink pad
Clear embossing powder
Heat gun
The stamp set was free with the Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine issue 179
It is actually the set I had intended using before my little accident.
I also used a background stamp from my stash.

I used the Izinks to create a coloured border which finished off the main panel.

I have used Stazon ink to stamp with because on the first one I made the Versafine ink took forever to dry.

Once the main panel was completed I highlighted the flowers with my Spectrum Noir Metallic Pens.

Back soon with card no. 2 x
So why do I get unexpected visitors when I've so much to do, my son called with my youngest granddaughter Taylor to see Nanna! How lovely  but you came yesterday and the day before, do I see a pattern forming???? It seems to happen when his partner has gone to her new job, bright side Becky is only working 3 days a week and my son is left holding the baby 👼 Mum !!!!!!! Lol!
So onto second card which I have just finished but the photos aren't that good so here is a clue it just needs the flowers and sentiment on this photo.
Same techniques as before it has been stamped onto tissue paper then embossed with clear powder

You can't see the shine unless you click on the photos and enlarge them.

So I will try and add in a photo of the finished card if I get the chance later.
Guess I will see you soon xx
