Christmas - Moonstone & Twilight

Hi! Hope you're all keeping cool on this very warm, sunny lovely but somewhat smokey day here were I am, all day the smokey haze and smell of burning has been building, such a shame all those fires destroying our country side and I feel so sorry for all of the wildlife and the poor farmers and firefighters having to deal with it all in this heat.
As you may have guessed I have only gone and managed to do the Christmas thing not only before it's July but on one of the hotest days of this year so far......Ha ha! Well you know it had to happen some time and sooner is better than too late me thinks.
Beautiful Toppers in the Little Book of Twilight Kingdom (A Magical Christmas) and a set of fab Moonstone Dies (Stunning Snowflakes) they work perfectly together.
OK back shortly with the all important stuff i.e. photo's

Both cards are C5 in size

 Aged Mahogany Distress ink

Dries clear Tacky Glue

Glue pen

Just missing a touch of Stickles glitter glue but I couldn't find mine,
typical !

See you soon x

Hi ! How's everyone today ? Hope your are feeling well, just doing a quick post this week as I'm not feeling my best hence I am a tad behind with our cards for the classes so I had better take a pill and get a move on.
What ?? I hear you shout ! well I have finished one card and the next is awaiting creation so I hope it won't take me the rest of the day to get it done as there is one overly bored puppy who is wanting to play doing her best to gain my attention by bringing me every toy she possesses and more besides and s shopping list as long as my arm which is also high priority or there will be no tea for us tonight 😲
So as we have already tried some of John Lockwood's Bee Balm range last week  I thought we should continue the theme with his Daisy and Dragonflies sets, lets hope you will like them as much as I do......
Photos are just a quick taster for what is to come and remember they never look as good on the blog as they do in class.....

John Next Door
Bee Balm stamp set.

John Next Door
Dragonfly dies, there are four different sizes in the set.
Here I have just been playing with some colours so on the day you can choose the ones you like best. I think that I decided on the Izinks Cassis and Ocean

I did however add in a couple of other colours along with my Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink.

Back later with the finished cards x

Well that was quite easy, all due to such good products and that makes all the difference when you are crafting, makes it all the more pleasurable.
Even had time to play with cheeky puupy Willow after she had her lunch........ Wait a minute ! I didn't have any Oh well such is life doubt I'll starve lol!!!
OK here are the photos see what you think 🤔

I used a background stamp from my stash, Clear Sparkle Pen and John's Dragonflies.

Crafters Companion Glitter card.
This time as well as the Clear Sparkle pen I have used some Apple Green Starlight Wax on the Detail dragonfly wings.

Really like these cards, I am pleased with them both.
Loved working with these products 🐝

I think that I just might have to have these join my ever growing STASH !!!!
Thanks Mr J L

See you soon xx

John's Gerbera's

Hi! Well what do you know I am early for once with the weekly class post, and even I am impressed but don't hold your breath it won't last long I shouldn't think lol!
For our next classes we will be trying out some stamps and dies from the new range Bee Balm by John Lockwood, and I think most of you will be quite impressed once you see how easy they are to use especially for those of you who love your florals but hate cutting them out. This is the first time I have used them and I really like them they actually cut down the amount of time you would normally spend making flowers as your embellishments........ Bring out some more Mr J that's what I say 😁
So the hardest thing I found to do was choose a colour , I decided to go with pink and yellow in the end but if you like you can make this card in another colour way.
I have used the Izinks ink pads to colour the background panels and the flowers, kept it simple as the flowers make a main feature.

John's Gerbera flowers stamp set and matching die.

The leaves are from Sheena's range of perfect partners Acorn and Leaves.
7x7 card base.
I added a touch of Clear 3D Gloss and glitter to the centres of each flower. The leaves have gold gilding wax for highlight.

Now I am off to make the second card as I just couldn't pick which colour to use so you will just have to wait a little while before I make up my mind then I will be back to show you the outcome. See you later x
Wednesday afternoon, so I am back with make number 2.....
Just could not decide on a colour scheme 🤔 so in the end I went with a few......
Here is the result....

Ink, brayer and embossing folder to create the die cut blue and white panel.
Butterfly die from Sara's Flutterby collection we have used in the past.

I die cut the panels using the Circle Easel card dies.
Glue pen and glitter for the flowers, you can't really see it much you will have to enlarge the photo.
Sorry not much time to take better photo's but you can see what we are working towards.
I enjoyed using John's dies they make life so much easier.

The base card is 6x6 so not a big card this time.
See you soon x
