Looks like Winter - free stamps from Crafters Inspiration Issue 8

Hi! Thought we would stick with the free stamps from the Crafters Inspiration issue 8 magazine for this week as they are such good value and very easy to use and there's plenty of crafting inspiration in side the magazine as they have made it easy for you to get you started.
I started with a 7x7 square base card and created four image panels by colouring the backgrounds before stamping the trees in Black Versafine then highlighted each panel with my Silver Starlight paint to create a  frosty look around the edges. I used my Aqua Tints for the backgrounds but you could use the Colour Cloud inks or anything similar. I added a little of my Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Sprinkles with a glue pen as a finishing touch.
On the 6x6 card I created the background by using two colours of Starlight paints and a piece of Cut n Dry foam to apply onto the card and when it was dry I embossed it in a snowflake folder. The image panel was again coloured with inks and dried before using an anti static bag then stamping the trees in Clear ink and embossing with Silver Powder. The small Candle image is one of the free stamps, Black Versafine ink and Clear Powder to emboss this time.

You can see what a good effect the starlight paint has around the outside edges of each panel.

I thought this card would also be good for a winter birthday card, especially for a male using these colours but could quite easily be made for a female in different colours.

I added the glitter to the candle but you can't really see it in this photo.

Well that's it for now I'll see you all soon I'm off to start cooking some tea before I fade away of starvation lol! Like that's ever going to happen

Crafters Inspiration Issue 8 + Xmas Fancy Edgeables

Hi everyone, it's that time of the week again and I'm feeling my age today after having a busy weekend with my youngest Granddaughters christening and now I'm totally drained of all my energy, think it might take me the all week to recover lol!....
Any how I have managed to finish the class cards for this week and I thought we would combine the latest issue of the Crafters Inspiration magazine along with the new Xmas Edgeable dies. I decided to test one of the projects out in the magazine and use the lovely set of stamps that comes included as part of the free gift. They really are great value for money these magazines!! full of inspiration, and I'm pleased to say that the card design I chose worked out really well. You will need to bring your craft knife for this one and a metal edge ruler.

Here's the stepper card from the magazine only finished off in a Christmas  design, in the mag they used a butterfly design.

The Kraft card panels have been embossed in a Snowflake folder and then highlighted with a White Ink pad, I think this looks ever so pretty.

Versatfine black has been used to stamp the sentiments.

The die cut bells are from the Classique Die'sire range and have been cut with double sided sticky onto white card then Cosmic Shimmer Ice Snow added for that glitter effect.

This card has been created from a 6x6 card with the Bows Fancy Edgeable die, I have teamed it up with the Harlequin embossing folder which comes with the Cut n Boss die cutting machine, some Silver Gilding Wax and the main image panel has been created with inks and the free set of stamps from the Crafters Inspiration magazine.
I have edged the main image panel with the tiniest amount of my Black Starlight paint.

I added a touch of glitter with my glue pen just to ground the stamped trees and give that look of winter.

I do think that the Bows die would work for any type of card they are not necessarily just for Christmas, as would the trees stamp so you are getting both value and versatility for your money which is what us crafters really want.

That's all for now, hope to see you all soon.

For all the lovely crafters that aren't feeling well at this moment I'm sending you lots of hugs and feel better soon : )
Just repaying all the kindness I have been sent
in the past xx

Christmas Text and Words border stamps from Creative Expressions by Sam Poole

Hi to all on this very pleasant sunny afternoon, hope everyone is well and ready for your crafty classes this week.  As you might of already guessed we will be using stamps from Creative Expressions which have been designed by Sam Poole and I found these stamps to be so useful as hey are a really good size. I have teamed them up with dies from Crafters Companion and Tattered Lace and made a 6x6 and 8x8 card creating a full background for one and a frame for the other, take a look and see what you think.

OK so if you can't quite see the colours of D inks I used they are Weathered Wood and Iced Spruce.

The large die is the Circle Accordion die and I added the Snowflake Overlay die to create a decorative frame.

Black Versatfine and Clear Powder.

In this photo you can see I've used a border stamp  from the set and you get four in total all different designs.
Both sentiments are also stamped from the borders. The center panel has been embossed in a snowflake folder.

I used my glue pen to add in a touch of Ice Maiden glitter by Chloe.

The snowflake in the center has been die cut out of parchment which I coloured on the reverse with my Spectrum Noir pens before putting through the Cut n Boss.

Onto card two.......

If I seem to be rushing through things quicker than usual it's because my battery is running very low and I'm trying to finish before it goes.

D inks  Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves.

Starlight paint Cyclamen added to the center of the Poinsettia

Forgot how good this Tattered Lace die looks, I coloured white cardstock before die cutting.

The background has been made using one of the border stamps.

Well I'd better go and plug in now before my tablet gives up on me.

See you soon x

If I've forgotten anything
I'll pop back later.
