Finished in Time

Well folks can you believe it is almost August and it is certainly feeling much colder today I think, anyway  I did manage to finish off the birthday card I was making for my daughter so here it is, not one of my best efforts but at least she got it on time lol!
I used the same stamps as the last card plus my newish stamp set Utopia clear stamps from Kaisercraft, all the background , corners and flowers are on this set of stamps, Wow silver embossing powder and Shaded Lilac Distress Ink (a Fab colour) from the Spring set and Promarkers to colour the girl image and of course a little Glamour Dust to finish off.
Hope to make a few more cards this week then I must get to grips with the ever approaching Xmas........OK
By the way don't look at my mess in the background didn't have time to clear my craft table before taking the photo's, in fact I never have the time so memo to self  {Always take photo's in a better location with no mess lurking for others to see} Yeah! like I'll remember that lol......

Wednesday's full of Woe

Miss Tibby ( photo taken Jan 2012)

This Wednesday was certainly full of woe for our household as we had to take our beloved little cat to the vets as she was suffering with kidney failure and the vet decided that it was time : (
She had a long and happy life after we rescued her back in September 1992, we will all miss
her very much, Tibby was the last one of our four cats and two dogs which have all now departed to a better place I hope. Our house is really quite now and it is a very strange feeling indeed......
Tibby - Sep 1992 - July 25th 2012
I now have to go and finish my daughters birthday card as it is her birthday today and unfortunately I just don't feel like it somehow but I must so that she will get in when she arrives home from work.

Party for your 21st

Good morning folks,
warm but cloudy here in the this part of
Lancashire but at least it's dry for now anyway.
Thought it was time to share a card just to show that I am still creating when I get the chance as it is decreed that when the sun shines I shall weed (on the allotment that is) lol! Oh! my aching bones shame for me.

This card as you may have noticed is a twenty first for a friend my daughter works with, I used this months free stamps Strictly Party by Papermania from the Creativity Mag and the embossed background has been made with a cArt-Us embossing folder, for the ribbon borders I used my Woodware crafty edger, Promarkers to colour my image, a Marianne CreaTables die for the flourish, a little Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, background papers are the Vintage Rose from Wild Rose Studio, a touch of Glamour Dust and the rest from my stash. Sorry the photo's aren't too clear as it was a rush to take them because the card was needed for this morning.
Hope she likes it as I don't know her and just went off what my darling daughter told me to do, like ye! Thanks for popping by......
