Reindeer Revisited - The Return

Well folks I've kept you in suspense long enough after waiting until now at this time of the day to post what will be our last class of this year 2013 but never the less here it is and I have decided to backtrack you might say, revisit an old 'en thats been done, you will remember this one, it's been played before so to speak and not to mention we might have used this one already, BUT! I thought it might be nice to try it again once more before this year is out and seen as it seemed to please almost everybody because you all, well nearly all! bought this one (stamp that is!) So I thought we should give it another go because who doesn't love Rudolf and his red nose and if you haven't  guessed it by now then .........................................................................

Here is the first card and it's on a 6x6 Kraft card base. The background has been embossed with a Snowflake embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

The second card is C5 Landscape in size on A4 white card.

Baubles are die cut in Light Blue Glitter card.

The trees are from my stash and are from a set of Kanban stamps.

A vase of flowers - but not for Christmas

Yes! I have managed to blog! Yes! it is last minute and Yes! we will have a class and Do the words Fine Line mean anything people? well this is the perfect example of that last statement I just made. I have just returned from a long day at work and without any food or drink to pass my lips before switching on the PC and getting down to the essentials of our crafting this week which I have to tell you has nothing at all to do with the ever present Christmas theme which we have managed to achieve for the last several months now and quite well may I say but the time has now come for a change so for this week we will be using a Stamp called Tall Vase from the Woodware Clear Magic Singles range. Hope you enjoy making this as they do say a change is as good as a rest and I for one could certainly do with having a rest before the full-on job of Christmas so lets take a look at what we have in store ( only one card to show you I'm sorry to say I will put the other one on later after food and drink lol!).

I have used Black Versafine ink to stamp the main image with and Clear Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink and White Embossing Powder for the flower heads.

A Fine Line Black Pen.

  I have just been summoned to collect my food and judging by the aroma that is coming from the kitchen I would guess that it is chicken curry for tea. Will be back after a short break lol!


That's me fed now I can continue and tell you that the second card is 8x8 and I have used Spun Sugar and Dusty Concord Distress Ink pads but you may choose any two colours that you might prefer that will blend well together as they will create the background of the card and the flowers in the vase.












Right I'm off to sort out the photo for the second card so I will be back shortly to update this post so please bear with me and I will get it done as soon as I can.  T T F N.......  : )

I have stamped the flower vase onto a hessian fabric square and the sentiment from my stash has been stamped onto glossy card once it has been coloured.

Two colours of Distress Inks.
Clear Embossing Powder.

Peel Off Markers.
Purple pencil.

When the Red Red Robin comes

Hi everyone hope you are all feeling well this week and as per usual I have had the cold, sore sore throat and now the cough so I have had constant meds all weekend in the hopes to send it on it's way before our next class, fingers crossed and a bottle of Buttercup Syrup later we shall see lol!
Docrafts Papermania - Little Red Robin 4x4 clear stamps are the subject of our next gathering for craftiness and enjoyment or class as you might of gathered and they are ever so sweet, well I think so but you can be the judge and I'm sure you all will agree with me so lets take a look......................

Card 1.
C5 base card.

The background panel has been embossed with one of my new folders from Die'sire called Regency Swirl and is 8x8 in size.

I have used Distress Ink Pads
Weathered Wood. 
Stormy Sky.
There are two different stamps that I used on this card, they have been stamped in black Memento Ink.
The main image panels have been coloured in using a variety of Pencils, Spectrum Noir Pens in shades of grey and a couple of Promarkers.

The circles have been cut with my Xcut dies and edged with a dark grey Spectrum Noir.

 My Quickie glue pen has been used to apply the crystal glitter to add a little sparkle.

The small sentiment stamp is by Wild Rose Studios and it's from my stash.

Card 2.
6x6 base card.

 The background has been embossed with the same folder as before and the main image has been stamped onto a die cut panel which was cut using a Spellbinders Die from Captivating Squares, it has been layered onto silver pearl card.



The xmas tree is a stamp from my stash and is by Kanban

I have coloured this image in the same fashion as the one's above on the first card.

The trees have been stamped in Black Versafine and embossed in Clear Powder.

Winter Wonderland or Japanese Garden

What a day! I seem to be in demand by everyone today not to mention it's my granddaughter's birthday and my sisters birthday tomorrow, my computer decided this morning when I switched it on to be completely anything but my computer everything had changed and was totally different in every way, I had to turn off and unplug it all and start again thankfully that seemed to work, then I had to take my seven and a half month extremely pregnant daughter-in-law to the doctors and then onto see her boss where she works because they conveniently lost her wage slips and her paperwork relating to her maternity leave and without them she would not get paid. With that all sorted out now it appears to be tea-time so without further ado here is the class for this week (sorry for the wait folks)

Dreamweaver Stencil and Die.

Card size is C5







The background has been created by using a Clarity stencil (snowflakes)
The main image panel has been made with the Dreamweaver stencil and glitter and the Tree is a die cut.

 I have used a double sided sticky sheet and glitters to create the landscape.
(If you do not wish to use glitters for the background then you can use the same technique as in the second card, just change the colours to Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire or similar)

The sentiment has been stamped in Dusty Concord and embossed in clear powder

 In the second card is also a C5 and I have used the same stencil but this time I have coloured with my Distress Ink Pads
Spun Sugar, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord then added some Stickles Glitter Glue to highlight.

The background is stamped in Memento Black ink and I have used a mixture of my Pencils and Promarkers for colouring in.  You will have to use pencils if you are going to colour directly onto your base card as I have done.

A Box - Holding the Fabric of Christmas!

Good afternoon to all, I seriously thought that I would not be making any effort this week to blog let alone having things finished and in order for this weeks class as I have had the most horrendous tummy bug over the weekend and spent most of Saturday and all of Sunday until dinnertime today in bed or in the bathroom and I'm sure you can all imagine what that entails so no need for any further descriptions of details so lets leave that there and move on as I am feeling quite tired now and need to build up my strength for tomorrow.
I had decided that even though we did something similar last year it might be quite nice to revisit and make something other than just cards this time so with no particular stamp in hand but this time a different medium to work with,  well here's a clue it's flat, smooth and comes on a roll in many different colours and designs have you guessed it yet?????- I think the give-away was in the title, no! well I think I'll just show you.......

 Ta-Da!!   Yes it is a box but each of the design panels are made up out of fabric.
It is best to make up the box using a good wet glue like the Collall Tacky glue or Cosmic Shimmer Glue both of which dry clear.

Once the fabric squares have been mounted onto card I have added some Red Stickles Glitter Glue to highlight some areas but you can't really see it on these photo's.
I have embellished the top with die cuts and punched leaves and some of the red Spiders Web.
I have stamped two snowflakes onto card that has been coloured with Antique Linen D Ink and embossed in gold powder.

 Here is a very good example of what not to do when using your foam pads lol! as this shot clearly shows that they are far too close to the outer edge and need to be placed further back so learn from my mistake won't you!

This must be one of the easiest boxes to make yet it can be made to look so much more just by the decoration you choose to put on it.

The spruce die is the same one as we used last time and the leaf punch is from Woodware.

 Here are a couple of photo's of some of the crafty stuff that I used in the making of the box and card.

I think that if you have some of the Pinflare Glue Gel
or similar then this makes it easier when adding the top panel to the lid of the box as you need that little bit more depth to allow for your spiders web etc.

Well think I need a cup of coffee right now as I have not had anything to eat and very little to drink up to press so if I have forgotten to mention anything please make allowances won't you.See you all soon.

Door Wreath - or - Table centre ?

Hello there all you lovely crafty ladies I bet that you are all thinking she's not going to do it, she's so late there's not going to be a class! what will we do? lol! Ha! Ha!  ~wrong~ Sorry for keeping you all in suspense I have just had one of those weeks x 100 if you get my drift, and I'm sure we all have them at some point.......
Won't waffle on as you will be wanting to know what it is that I have in store for this week, well wait no longer as I can reveal that the stamps for this week are none other than Woodwear's Poinsettia Flourish and Rosehip Wreath both from the Singles range. They remind me of all the Christmas decorations you like to do as the finishing touch when you add all the last minute faff in order for your Christmas to begin, The wreath on the front door or your table decoration and don't forget the poinsettia plant you always buy on the last minute, moving on here are the two we will be making this week (did I forget to say SORRY for being so late, well I am!)

The first card is a C5 landscape.

I have created the background on gold pearl card with the Poinsettia Flourish stamp and Gold Embossing Powder (using my Anti-Static bag first)
The small white panel has been embossed with my Mistletoe folder then lightly inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink pad.

 I have stamped the Poinsettia Flourish with a Black Versafine ink pad and embossed in clear powder along with the snowflakes and the sentiment (Deck the Halls) as this comes with the Poinsettia stamp.

The red card has been edged with a black pen to give a little more depth without adding an extra card layer.

I have added crystal glitter with my Quickie glue pen to the poinsettia and holly leaves.

This card is 6 x 6 in size.


The background has been embossed through the eBosser using the 8 x 8 Music Folder and I have added a little Black Soot distress ink around the edges.

The Wreath has been stamped in Black Versafine and embossed in clear powder.

I then added Crystal glitter to the Rosehips.


The small snowflake is from my stash and comes from a set of Crafters Companion stamps which I have stamped onto white glitter card using Black Archival which I dried with my heat tool before cutting out.
The Die cuts in the background are by Marianne Designs.

Get Your Skates On ~ And Bring A Sweater

I tell you what! these Monday's are coming around faster and faster.  Hello everyone,  I don't know where you are but where I am it certainly feels much colder today so I need to get that scarf knitted pronto me thinks and just to prove it I will post a photo when it's finished, darn gone and caught a knitting bug, like I need anything else to do lol! well it might not take me as long to knit a scarf as it seems to do with my card making maybe it's because there's less fuss involved who knows?, and I seem to have passed it on to my friend and now she is knitting a scarf for her son and say's it's my fault......how rude ha! ha! good job we are great friends, maybe I can get her to knit mine as well LOL!!!!      OK moving on, this week we are using stamps from Stampendous. Sweater Square which is a lovely background type of stamp and Ice Skates which I must admit makes me think of very cold and frosty weather where you find all the ponds etc frozen over and you need your gloves and scarf dare I mention!! (just can't get away from that knitting).
Well better just show you what it is I'm babbling on about................................

This is an C5 card Landscape.



The Ice Skates have been stamped in Black Memento Ink and coloured with my Sakura Pencils and Blender Pen.
I have covered the Skates with Glossy Accents and used glitter on the fur at the top.

The Sweater stamp has been stamped in Versamark (or clear ink)  and embossed in White Powder then coloured with Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks.


The sentiment is from my stash and has been stamped in black onto Cracked Ice card stock.

 Card two is the same size as the first one, and the main image has been created in the same way as above just in a different colour.




The background has been stamped onto glossy card stock in clear ink and coloured with Festive Berries Distress Ink and blending cut and dry foam

 I'm disappointed that this photo is a little blurry but it does show how shiny the Glossy Accents are on the Skates.

Rose Buds in Winter?

Good afternoon everyone hope you all managed to enjoy your extra hour this morning unlike myself who woke at the same time 7.15a.m. looked at my phone and told myself it was only 6.15 so I turned over and got comfy and as my brain had not engaged at that time went back to sleep until I woke again around 8.30 telling myself  "ha! it's only 7.30" shock - horror, forgot that my phone would update itself time wise and it really was just after 8.30 by now oh! just get up and continue with your usual Sunday routine - darn phones!! Anyhow here we are at that time of the week when I can show what we will be doing in class and by the way I'll try not to forget that it is on Monday instead of Tuesday this week lol! Yes I know what you're all thinking you know what I'm like  :-0 honestly!
O K here is what's on the menu so to speak for our next class........
At this point I would just like to say that this stamp  Rose Buds (which is from the Woodware range) is quite versatile as it can be used for a number of occasions including Christmas although it is not classed as a Christmas design, but I did like to use it in a Festive kind of way........

This card is C5 in size.

I have stamped the main image onto a die cut panel and it has been painted with Distress Ink Pads
Antique Linen
Tea Die
I have used black Versafine Ink to stamp on the panel and the bauble has been stamped with black Memento and coloured with a Saffron Promarker pen.
I glittered the flowers with a dries clear glue and Crystal glitter.
The poinsettia is from a Spellbinders die.
 

Both background panels have been embossed with a Mistletoe embossing folder.

The next card is the same size as the first but this time I have stamped the main image in Memento and used the colouring pencils and blender pen as we did in the last class....

I decided I would team the Floral stamp up with the lovely little scene stamp also from the last class as I thought they worked well together.

As you can see I have glittered the flower heads after colouring them in with my pencils but this time I used my Glossy Accents before adding the glitter.

The background paper has been stamped with a very small snowflake and Antique Linen ink and to finish them off I have added a small drop of Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Glue to the centre's.

The poinsettia has been die cut as before out of a dusky pink card stock.
I think that if you were to change the poinsettia for a different type of flower then this card would make a lovely Autumn /Winter birthday card and of course the sentiment (from my stash) would be different also lol! that just goes without saying......

Birds of a Feather stick together in winter..

Hello to all on this miserable Monday hope it's not too wet where you are.  I'm on granma duties as we speak so I'll have to make this post a speedy one as madam is getting bored already as most of her favorite tv programs have finished and that means dinner time will be fast approaching so here goes speedy-gone-post-fast and this week we will be making our cards using this delightful stamp called Winter Birds from Stampendous and they are ever so sweet...
Oh dear that didn't last too long never mind I'm back after 1 jar of Sweet potato and Beef pie and 1 jar of Mango, banana and peach delight a swift change of the nappy and we're all good to go so I'd better make the most of this whilst the tv is back on lol!...

First card to show you is 6x6......

 The image is stamped in Black Memento ink and I have coloured with a selection of grey Spectrum Noirs (a light, a medium and a dark) and blue and pinks in Promarkers or the Spectrum Noirs.......

I have used Spun Sugar Distress ink on the back ground paper and Versamark ink and White embossing Powder.
The base card has been embossed with my Die'sire Mistletoe 6x6 embossing folder.

 Crystal glitter and a glue pen have been used to highlight the snow on the branches



The sentiment is from my stash and belongs to a set of stamps by Wild Rose studio (Christmas Circles)

 The next card is also a 6x6.

 The image has been stamped in black Memento once again and this time it has been coloured in with some of the Bruynzeel Sakura Pencils:-

Baubles and Wreath in a Winter Wonderland

Hello, it's that time once again and boy does it seem to have come around rather quickly and I must say that it has felt quite hard this last week to get my mojo running and me thinks it's this darn cold I have had the pleasure of suffering since last week and it just doesn't want to leave, looks like I'm stuck with it for a while longer.....hey ho! just get on with it I guess and hope for the best so forgive me if I'm somewhat lacking in a little luster this week and the photo's by mobile are certainly not helping my case lol!
Here goes ......... there are two stamps sets this week both from Woodware and neither of them breaking the bank which is always good news for us, the first is Winter Wonderland and is a great little scene set within a holly frame and the last is called Twig Wreath which I think speaks for itself..........

The first card is a 6x6 square.

The background panel has been created using a large background stamp from my stash and it's by Papermania called Home for Christmas, I have stamped with a clear ink pad and then added two of my mica powders Rich Gold and Lava Red with a soft brush.


The die cut baubles are from Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments 2011.
The image has been stamped in Versafine Black ink.
I have added a touch of colour with my new Bryunzeel Sakura Pencils light blue, pale grey and a hint of pale pink. The detail colour on the holly frame has been painted with the same Mica powders and a fine paint brush.

The second card is also a 6x6.
The corners have been stamped and embossed with Black Versafine Ink and clear powder along with the Wreath.
The background panel has been stamped in clear ink but this time I have used White powder.
