Not just another box !

Hello there it's quite late now and I'm extremely tired and wanting my bed after such a hectic weekend I feel as if all my energy has been drained away by some unknown force perhaps it was a combination of doing my demo day on Saturday and then my Sunday was just as busy trying to put everything away again plus catching up with all other jobs that required my attention and having my beautiful granddaughter visit me in the afternoon just as I returned home from getting the shopping and then  putting it all away (as you all know is the worst bit), bringing the washing in, pegging it out again cooking the tea and then off to water the plants in the greenhouse, and a few other jobs in between.

Don't know where today has gone as I got up this morning with a major headache which is unusual for me started to organize things for class and it all went down hill from there. Oh well never mind I did my best under the circumstance's, so this week it's definitely less stress and more of a project than a card just for a change. Here goes this week we will be making a tissues box cover using a template and A4 card along with some background paper, Distress inks Stormy Sky and Weathered Wood. Collall Tacky glue and all Purpose glue and also a Midnight blue Promarker. Die'sire leaf 1die and Gothic script Embossing folder. Think that's it for now need to get an early night and then I can finish things off in the morning, see you soon x

P.S. Bring your quilling tool for those finishing touches that aren't shown in the photo and all will be revealed in class x

Here's a photo to give you some idea but it's not quite finished yet, just needs a few more touches x

China Blue or Coffee for two

Hello just thought whilst I'm in the midst of things and just finishing my cold cup of coffee I would give you a hint, just a wee peak at what we will be doing this week in class. I have used the Tattered Lace Mini Tea Set die which is ever so sweet, along with my Create a Card die Decadence and a lovely set of stamps called Lace - Live each moment by Joanna Sheen. I chose blues for this one as I always think blue and white look very clean like in an English country cottage style if you get my drift. The Distress Inks are Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans. I also used my clocks embossing folder as it was TIME  for coffee lol! sorry couldn't resist :-)
Okay will be back later with a bit more to share x

Blossoms inside a Box

Hello crafty people, it's that time of the week again when I need to let you know what we will be making in class this week. Well I decided with a little help from Louise that we should do something using the Crafters Companion Die'sire Create a card Die and Quilling dies and I have to say the more I use them the more I want to they are so easy yet so very impressive, flower making was never so easy as it is with these dies and there a few different designs to choose from, hope you like them.  I should mention that they are not in stock yet but Louise has planned to have a demo day at the beginning of July so they will most likely be on order for then , can't wait love going to watch demo's hope she gets somebody good coming ha! ha! lol! Well we shall have to wait and see. Anyway back to class and here is what we will make..........................................

At this point I'll tell you what I've used :-

The box and card are both 6x6 in size and made from A4 cream card stock.

The background is embossed colour core card with the Embossalicious Rose Vine folder, and the box lid has been cut and embossed with Create-a-card Aurora die.

The flowers have been made using 12x12 background papers and the Die'sire Quilling dies - Large Rose, Small Rose, Dahlia, Stamen and Leaf 1.

The sentiment is from Die'sire Sentimentals Nature Stamp set.

Distress ink pads Shaded Lilac, Bundled Sage, Black Versafine. A Quilling Tool and a Pokey Tool will be most useful. Clear embossing powder and heat gun. Fine black pen, glue pen for the glitter and I used my Collall Tacky glue to make the box as this holds better and is much stronger than tape. Think that's everything so I'll finish now, see you soon  :-)

Underneath the Arches - Ancient that is

Good evening to you all hope you all enjoyed your bank holiday weekend, well what a day it's been for me started out really well class was sorted went out at dinner planned to be back in the afternoon to blog like a good person wood and then it happened !  Why Oh Why??? do cars have to be sooooo complicated and drown right awkward when you least want them to. On my way home my poor little car decided it wasn't very happy and started to smoke from under the bonnet, the temperature had risen to almost the max so I thought as I was driving along now would be a good time to stop and that proved to be right as it turned out that there was no water left in my radiator as it had sprung a vigorous leak, so I had to phone for help and wait, and wait ,and wait, well you get the idea AND it was raining and raining and raining Ohooooo shut up woman and get on with it LOL!!!!
So now I am home I will try and tell you what we will be doing this week,   But wait!!!! some people I hear cry from a distant room and they want their tea making - what a shame, how sorry I feel for them NOT!! - OK I'll be back shortly..........................................................................................

Right here we go with this weeks cards...

card one is an 8x8 base card and I have embossed the whole of the card in my 12x12 Script Die'sire embossing folder.

The background panel has also been embossed with the same folder.

The Sheena's little Bit Sketchy stamp - Ancient Arches has been stamped with Black Versafine and heat embossed with Clear Powder.

I coloured with Distress Ink Pads :-

Weathered Wood
Scattered Straw
Mustard Seed
Wild Honey

I have used a wet paint brush to take out some of the ink around the window to give a lighter appearance.

The die cuts are from Spellbinders and Die'sires die's.

Card two is also an 8x8 and this time I have used a Clear ink pad and Gold Embossing Powder together with the Ancient Arches embossing Folder along with Weathered Wood and Chipped Sapphire to create the background, I also used a touch of Black Soot to go around the edges just to darken them a little. For some reason unknown to me I can't get my photo to upload to show you what it looks like so I will do my best to sort it out and try again later, Oh! what a day!!!
See you all soon I hope, that is if  my car is fixed for tomorrow or it will be Shanks's Pony for me and that might prove to be very near impossible as I am allergic to getting wet in the rain and walking great distances lol!!
