Hero Arts Flower Cluster and Posy Skettch

Hi hope you have all managed to stay warm today and every one is feeling better than last week. My plan yesterday was to put up the Xmas Tree and get all the decorations done and out of the way but alas it wasn't to be with a house full of hungry family and grand children and boxes and boxes of trees lights and various other decorations to go through and sort out that were all over the lounge, dining room and even in the hallway I didn't stand a chance with just too many hands of the little variety all wanting to help it was just pure chaos so I gave up and now it is all waiting for me to start over, at least I will be able to do it at my own pace lol!
Here for you to look at are my efforts from this week end using Hero Arts stamps Flower Cluster and Posy Cluster Sketches hope you like them....
I have stamped the flowers in Black Memento and coloured them with my Promarkers and glitter pens. The front of the card has also been stamped with Memento ink and coloured with D Inks Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw. I have added yellow Stickles glitter glue to some of the background flowers.

On this card I have stamped all the images with my Memento Ink and used  D Ink pads - Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters and Faded Jeans.
Both dies are cut from Spellbinder Dies.
Everything is glued with Cosmic Shimmer Glue

Hope you all stay wrapped up and warm this week as I have herd it is going to get colder BRrrrrrrrrrr, I know I will  : o

Hero Arts Continued

Good morning yet another wet and dreary day to look forward to Ha! just the weather for crafting I say and for those of you who will be joining me this afternoon to do just that here as promised is the second of the cards we will be making in this weeks classes...................

I have kept this one simple in style and have only used Walnut Stain D.Ink pad to stamp the images and also colour them.
I have die cut two Spellbinders corner dies in Gold Mirror card and a touch of Cosmic Shimmer glue to fix them into place, and the sentiment has been layered onto the Gold Mirror card as well.
Some cream seam binding ribbon and a couple of self adhesive pearls add the finishing touch.
See you later x

What a Weekend! & Hero Arts

Hi to all you ladies hope you had a really good weekend, and it was nothing like mine! We had our Grandson's Christening Yesterday and after much stress and deliberation too-ing and fro-ing , Where's this ? Where's that ? Who's got what ? Where's my? Who's taking who ? What happened to that ? What time is it? We'er going to be late, Should be at church NOW!  OMG nowhere to park******, etc, etc, no wonder I came home early with an horrendous headache and went to bed before 8.30pm.  I'm so glad it's Monday, Oh OMG, class cards!!! got to finish, so you can judge what my weekend was like and that's just a small part of it so it's no wonder to you all why I am so behind with this weeks classes, apologies to everyone.
Right this week we are going to use some Hero Art stamps to create our border and main image. On the first card I have used Distress inks Picked Raspberry , Evergreen Bough and Shabby Shutters and I have stamped with Memento black. I have coloured the images with the D Inks and added some glitter with my Quickie Glue pen. Both the background paper and Die cut panel have been sprayed with a gold shimmer spray. Spiders web has been added behind the main panel to add dimension and texture.
Here are a couple of pics to help you get the picture of what we will be doing this week x

The background paper has been stamped with the Script stamp in Evergreen Bough and a couple of swirl stamps in black ink and then it has been sprayed with gold shimmer mica spray.
The images have been painted with D Inks and glitter has been added to the main image with a quickie glue pen.

Here you can see the Hero Arts stamps that I used, I really like the script and sentiment stamps, the swirl stamp is from my stash.
Will post a pic of the second card we will be making  later x

Walk in Wonderland (in a different colour)

Well what a white frosty morning today has been and it still is here in our little corner of Lancashire and did you know by any chance that it was Lancashire Day on Tuesday of this week, no neither did I until a friend on face book told me fancy that we have a day to celebrate Lancashire, good I say as I'm am after all a Lancashire lass born and bred. Enough of that for now as it is nearly dinner time and I am now thinking of cheese Mmmm Lancashire cheese maybe! my mum used to cook it under the grill on a plate then put it on some fresh crusty bread Ahhh those were the days! Before I go and hunt out some of that deliciousness from my childhood I thought you might like to see this card that I made like the other one from Monday only in a different colour using the same Walk in Wonderland stamps.
Bye for now off to get my lunch before venturing out in the frostyness!!! Lol x

Time to Dream

Well better late than never I guess! time to dream? Hah! I don't think so, what is happening to my weekends? Blink and you miss it or that's just how it seems to me, gone, finished, over with and no time to catch up. More birthdays, more babysitting, more shopping and no time to finish off anything crafty, whatever next?  I did manage to finish these two cards last night after a very hectic kind of day then only to discover that my camera had gone on strike without any warning, how annoying is that, I did manage to take a couple of pics but they are not that good.....
I have used Distress ink pads black soot, tumbled glass, stormy sky and picked raspberry to create the background. All the images have been stamped in Memento black and are from Walk in Wonderland stamp sets.
A Quickie Glue pen and crystal glitter has been used to highlight the main image.
On this card I used black soot and tumbled glass D I pads, grey Promarkers and a Sakura turquoise Glitter Pen to colour the main image.
The embossing folder is Crackle from Creative Expressions
Well I think that it is an early night for me after such a whirlwind of a weekend, can't believe it's been and gone and I think that it will happen all over again next week when it will be my youngest grandsons Christening on Sunday, how is one ever supposed to catch up with the time that keeps on getting away??????

Sunflowers or Daisies ? Plus a little Sunshine

Hello to everyone out there this grey and miserable day,  thought we could all do with a little bit of sunshine so for the last few days I have been working with two sets of stamps by Papermania Signature Sunflowers and Build a Sunflower. On the first card I changed the flower into a daisy to match up with the beautiful daisy  design background paper that reminded me of warm sunny summer days lol, when was that I asked myself??? anyway I just like daisies...

Bring Me Sunshine
I have stamped the build a flower with black Memento ink and coloured lightly with a Pen Touch Permanent white pen and a yellow Promarker, and then I have used Versamark ink and clear embossing powder to give the flower a glazed look. The background panel has been painted with Peeled Paint Distress ink

You Are My Sunshine
The yellow background panel has been embossed with a Couture Creations folder and then lightly sanded back to reveal the lighter colour core of the card and then I added Stickles yellow glitter glue to highlight some of the design. The sunflowers have been stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured with Caramel, Pear Green and Tulip Yellow, ribbon and Card Candi to finish off. The Dies for both cards are from Xcut and Marianne Creatables
Hope you all have a good day, I feel much brighter now after having had a little burst of sunshine he! he! : )

A new Arrival & Here Comes santa

Hi to every one and can I just tell you we have a new arrival in the family, our Grand Daughter Holly was born at 2am on Friday morning almost two weeks early and weighing in at a respectable 7lb 4oz and a head of lovely dark hair and not just because I am her Nanna I might add but she is absolutely gorgeous a little rose bud : )
so here is a photo of her taken yesterday morning after cuddles of course......
Okay if I can stop myself brooding over this little darling and being all cooey and gooey  then I might be able to show you what I have been up to with these lovely IndigoBlu stamps "Here comes Santa", yet another must have set of Christmas stamps. The background was created with Distress Inks Dusty Concord and Chipped Sapphire, the trees, sentiment and Santa's sleigh have all been stamped with Archival black, the moon and sentiment have been embossed with Versamark and clear powder and the snowflake border has been embossed with silver powder. The die cut snowflakes are from a Cuttlebug Die and I used a Quickie glue pen and added some glitter to the trees and background.
On this second card I made using the same stamps I have stamped the snowflake border in black Archival then coloured in with Distress inks Shabby Shutters and Peacock Feathers, the Christmas tree and presents  have been embossed in silver powder and then coloured once again with the ink pads.I have added glitter to the background and tree with the glue pen but this photo does not show it very well at all

I think that I had better get a move on and get a card made for our new arrival, yes I'm a little late I can here you all say but she was a little early, not due for a couple of weeks and of course you always think you have plenty of time lol! NOT!

Buttons and Flowers

Hi to all,  gosh today has really gotten away from me just don't know where the day has gone and boy is it feeling cold I think that is why my brain just won't get into the right gear not to mention the headache that's been building all day, oh well not to worry have my tea, take a tablet and I'll be fine but before I do any of that here is what's on offer to show from this weekends attempts. The theme is buttons and for this I have made my own background stamp and this also made the backgrounds that I have punched the flowers out of, I used red and blue ink pads, ribbon and lace, red spiders web for the bow, Spellbinders dies for the corners and label which were cut out of Kraft card and of course small buttons which I have added to make the centres in the flowers. Along with the card I thought I would make a matching gift bag.......

Ink pads I used.....
Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Festive Berries Distress Ink pads and also a Memento Ink Paris Dusk.
The flower punches are Woodware Daisies in different sizes.
Off now to have my tea or should I say cook tea for everyone else. keep wrapped up if you are going to venture outdoors this evening for bonfire night, myself will be indoors where it is warm and cosy eating chocolate maybe...

A Little Bird Told Me!

Happy Halloween everyone and a happy birthday to my brother - law.
Back this morning with a couple of cards to show that I managed to make yesterday keeping to the same theme as my last two cards, so I decided to use up the little scraps of leftovers from my paper piecing on the Dove card and found that these little and very cute stamps were just the job. Even though they are a Christmas stamp set of Robins by Woodware they can be made to fit all kinds of occasions and I think that is what makes these stamps so versatile.

This first card I made using the same colours as the Dove and the second card I changed for a different look using some fantastic background 12x12 paper by Papermania which comes in different colours with similar designs some of which are already glittered and I have to add is an extremely good price, teamed up with Kraft card, then the birds I have paper pieced and coloured with my Promarkers finished with of course a touch of Quickie glue pen and glitter.  A Little Bird sentiment is from a set of Neighbourwood Stamps by the same name and just perfect for my cards, the Best Wishes was a freebie from Craft Stamper Mag some time ago.

Oh well off to find something else to do.....what was that???? house work!!! who said that? I think maybe
it was a little bird that told me! lol x   Sheilagh.

NOEL Merry & Bright

Hooray! back home at last, Had to take my daughter to the doctors over her eye which is slowly getting worse since that incident back in December 2010
(gosh doesn't even seem like a year ago let alone nearly two!) In case you don't know what I am talking about she was attacked and assaulted by some Polish  people whilst walking back with her friend from their Christmas outing on the way home to her friends house. Anyway it's a long story so I won't go on, instead I will show you the second photo as promised in my earlier post, again the papers are from Woodware but this time they are much stronger in colour and did I mention that they are double sided....

Right that's me done for today, off to finish some more cards that I am in the midst of, using these lovely papers x

Peace (of Patchwork)

I have highlighted with a Quickie glue pen and glitter and the heart stamp is out of a set from C D's stamps from my stash. The holly has been coloured with a green glitter pen.  Must dash be back with more later today

Kraft card with an Autumn feel

Not as nice as yesterday is it? but hey it's Monday after all, hope everyone is recovering from their cough's and colds and feeling a little more crafty as it's just the day to stay in and play I would say. Here is another birthday card I made recently using kraft card and a background paper of a similar colour. I made the flower from the paper and Tim Holtz Tattered Floral's  Die which I embossed around the edges with gold powder and did the same to the paper doily. I cut some floral swirls with one of my Marianne Dies in dark brown card and the centre of the large flower is an organza ready made flower that I dipped into some Glitter Magic glue and added some Stampendous Gold Halo mix glitter. When I had finished the card it did have sort of an autumn feel about it and then it dawned on me that it wasn't going to fit into an envelope to be able to give so I then had to make a box for it to go in but forgot to take a photo of the box before I gave it away, however I did remember to take a pic of the card so here it is

I think that I must have taken these photo's
before I had finished the card as there is another much smaller flower which is missing from the card oh well! not to worry it is autumn after all and there aren't many flowers about at this time lol!

Hot Chocolate anyone?

HI! hope everyone is feeling OK today, I know a couple of you crafty ladies are a little under the weather at the moment so I hope you all feel better soon, Oh and Christine I hope you get rid of that nasty cough, sorry to hear you were suffering with it right now.
So because of the change in the weather and a few bad colds here and there and would you believe that I was told by a lovely lady who is in the "know" so to speak that Whooping cough  is on the increase not only in children but in adults too! That's something from the past and I would much prefer it to stay there don't you agree?
I made this card with a Whiff of Joy stamp that I have had for some time and it always reminds me of hot drinks on bad weather days ( hot Chocolate and chicken soup, but not together ) I think I would opt for the soup : )

Oh look at the time 1.15 pm no wonder I'm feeling hungry, off to get some chicken soup lol!

Before I go this is a photo of the card I made for my Sis-in -law whose birthday was yesterday
The stamp set is from Indigo Blu and I have painted the main poppy image with Distress inks.
Birthday hugs to Trish xxx
