My Apologies

Good morning my fellow crafters! How early AM I? and with good reason but not good news, so sorry to tell you that I can not make class this week due to my larger than usual work load as I am in the middle of prepping for my up and coming demo's this weekend, 2nd & 3rd September. Not one but two and unfortunately for me they are for different product ranges so I don't have that luxury of time to prep a class as well, hope you will forgive me. Sorry!
The good news is if you are free on Saturday the 2nd you will be able to come to my demo at the shop......Crafty Knits.....in Chorley ( find it on face book) its free so just turn up and you can join us for some fun and most likely lots of laughter and even maybe a brew or two not to mention some wonderful new products in the latest Christmas ranges from Crafters Companion and Sheena Douglas.
Hope I will see you then if not see you soon.

Long Tall Flowers - Woodware

GOOD EVENING! as good old Alfred Hitchcock used to say, well I know its late so please excuse but late is better than the alternative so to speak. Busy days I must endure at least for a few weeks yet to come so here it is as I know you have been waiting to see what we have for class this week and yes I can confirm it will have nothing to do with CHRISTMAS. In fact floral is our next venture with two lovely stamp sets from our trusty old friend Woodware.
One 7x7 card and the other is 5x7.
Ok so I have just been interupted I will be back as soon as possible with all the most important details...............soon!
And here we are!
Distress Inks:
Broken China
Peeled Paint
(If you have the Distress Oxixde inks they will work better)
Sparkle pens:
Clear, Moonstone, Moonlight, Cosmos, Inspired Violet and Rose Quartz.
Alcohol Pens / Spectrum Noir
A variety of colours in pinks, purple, greens and blue.
Black Versafine
Clear Powder
Clear ink
White Powder
Water spritzer
Think that's just about it but you can bet your bottom dollar I've forgot something, soooo me lol!
Oh I know ! Photo's?
Well if I take them now they will most certainly be rubbish as its well past going dark now, so I will do my best to add them first thing in the morning.
See you later x

Woodland in Winter or any Season

Good afternoon to everybody, these weeks are getting shorter and shorter if that's at all possible anyhow we just have to keep on going don't we! and this week we are taking a visit to the woodlands with these two beautiful die sets from Sue Wilson's Woodland Collection - Birch Tree Forest and Forest Animals. The Sentiment die I have also used is from her Festive Collection.
Both sets from the Woodland Collection could be used for so many different themed cards and cover every season so don't think of them as just for your Christmas makes because I have chosen to turn them into Winter/Xmas type cards. I think these die's will be so useful indeed.
So here is a very short list of things I have used :-
Chalk inks or Oxide inks
Blue
Pink
Yellow
Water Spray
Blending ink (Onyx Black or Black Soot)
Glue Pen and Glitter
Pearl Gilding Polish or Wax
 A5 card.
Sorry the pics aren't very good but st least I have managed to take some this week lol!

I used my new Sue Wilson Twisted Holly embossing folder to create the frame on this 7x7 card.

I think this style of card could be quite easily made into a mans card.

Change the sentiment on this card and send it to someone who has a December birthday, change the colours completely and it can be any time of the year.
Well that's it for this week see you soon x

On the Diagonal

Morning! No! no Christmas for this week you might be pleased to know, then again you might not lol! Sorry I don't have much time this week to go into depth with this weeks post for class so it is definitely short and sweet. I will give you a run down on the craftiness that I used to create two cards one being an 8x8 and the other is a 7x7.
Is there die cutting involved ? Yes! not too much. Is there inking and stamping involved ? Yes using the Colour Cloud blending ink Decadent Teal which by the way is from the Phill Martin colour range, two die sets from Sue Wilson and a lovely big Swirl Stamp from Sara's latest Collection (Scandinavian no less). Sentimentally Yours Everyday Sentiment Stamps also by Phill Martin.

Along with the teal blending ink I have also used:-
Black Versafine
Frayed Burlap Distress ink pad
Teal Ink Spray Mist
Cosmic Shimmer Teal Pearlescent glue
Clear Powder
Gold Starlight Wax
Clear Sparkle Pen
Alcohol Pens in Coral and Magenta (in other words peachy pink and a darker pink)
I think that is just about everything except for the Grand Floral die set which was part of Sara's English Country Garden collection used as the embellishments.

Now I must dash no more time left will come back later to add some photos.
See you later then x
