Live Life in Full Bloom - with a little - Peony Revisited

Hi everyone, so here's the thing I've been scratching my head for a couple of days trying to get some motivation for this week's class and only this morning I made a decision to use this lovely die set from Paper Boutique (Live life in full Bloom) as I have never tried them before and it may just have gone well which is very fortuitous seen as I was running out of time and I got this idea to re visit the Peony range just because I love the Flower dies.
I used a combination of Izink ink pads as you will see in the photo, some die inks and some Pigment ink pads (these were the one's used to colour the flowers).
Enchanted Gold Gilding Polish
Pink Thistle Opal Polish
Blending tools and blending duabers
Gemini Torn circle dies
Peony Butterfly Dreams die set
Large Ball Too (to shape the flowers)
Black Versafine ink pad
That just about sums it up let's see what I came up with.......

Izinks, Distress inks, Harmony inks or any similar products will work

I may just add a couple of leaves to each flower if I get time

I have die cut the flowers from a pearlescent paper then used the finger daubers to add colour with the Pigment inks
I know the cards never look as good on the blog, you can't really see how much the Opal polish stands out on the Kraft card
The stamp that created the background is from the free set that came with the Creative Stamping Magazine issue 67

That's it for now
See you soon x

Nautical continued Enjoy Life's Journey

Morning! Well it's almost lunch time,  must be because I'm hungry right now and this morning has gone too quick for my liking.
Prepping for our next classes and decided to stick with the Nautical range as so many of you are liking it and have already bought either the stamps or the dies or both, why not indeed! they are so nice to work with.
I have chosen to make the first of the cards especially Male orientated as we always seem to be stuck for that particular type.
Using the clear stamp sets and a couple of the smaller element dies I have created a framed ocean looking scene, boring ? No as I have made the frame a touch more interesting with the  Droplets stencil from the Enchanted Forest collection, some Izink Silver Texture paste and a selection of Gilding polishes and Opal polish. Hope you like it.
Tri blend pens or other for Colouring the images
Chipped Sapphire D I or Harmony Midnight blending ink pad

Powder Blue
Enchanted Gold
Gilding polishes

Blue Parakeet
Opal polish

That's one done and one to get done so see you later x
Where on earth has today gone!?
Okay back now with second card, kept it very similar same techniques just different stencil and images.

The stencil I used on card two is a Sheena stencil called Barking Mad from her Create a Flower range
All done for now see you soon x

Thanks Trish xx
Class this week will be less of a stress you'll be pleased to know as we will be using the new 3D folders with matching stencils from CC and they are such a clever design to make your embossing folders that bit more special.

Nautical - Under the Sea

Hi everyone! Would just like to say to all you lovely ladies who came along and supported us on Demo Day a Big Thank You we had a really Fantastic day it was truly Enjoyable xx
I had a few requests on the day for class so I have gone along with the theme and used some of the dies and stamps that were on offer. The first card is 5x7 and I have used one of the Nautical Embossing folders and tried to make it look similar to a page that is in the paper pad from this collection, think it's worked quite well, see what you think.
I have used my blending inks in pale colours so you could use Distress inks in Pumice Stone
Bundled Sage
Weathered Wood
Spun Sugar
Shaded Lilac
Gathered Twigs

Opal Polish  or
Gilding Polish  or
Any of your waxes like Imagination Crafts etc

Three colours in my Alcohol pens
PP1 Blossom
TB1 Pearl blue
BGR4 Blue grey 4
They just add a hint of colour on the background panel
The next card will be  similar to another one I made for the demo using the lovely Porthole die and the fish stamps plus a couple more of the dies. I haven't recreated this one yet so I thought we would just go with it in class on the day which is time saving for me so I will show you a photo of the original card and we will create a version of this
Sorry about the glare on the photo
Similar colours as before

I think this would make a good man's card
Here is a better photo for you to look at

Just a little bit of die cutting to do lol! but it will be worth it in the end results

See you soon x
