Never enough vases - but Francoise Read has!

Hello everyone or should I say good evening, wow! how late is this for a post? What a day I've had, child minding as usual for a rather out of sorts darling little angel who has had ear ache with her teething problems all day and she was so tired bless her but every time she went to sleep and I spied my chance she woke and was so hot and bothered that I could not leave her and this went on all day, Oh well! the joys of grandma's sitting service lol!  It seems that the harder I try to get in front the more I get behind maybe I should just stop trying and see what fate has in store or not maybe I shouldn't temp fate!
Right to business this week is a little less is more and less stress so I came up with these two cards made from Woodware's clear magic set Flowers and Vases by Francoise Read -
This card is a 6 x 6
I have used Distress Ink Pads Scattered Straw, Broken China and Spun Sugar.
The embossed panels are from a Cuttlebug folder Daisy you can't see it very well in this photo because it's white on white.
The heart die is from Nellie's multi frame's
 The next card is 8 x 8

The large background panel has been coloured with Broken China and then edged with a Marine Promarker pen.
The background paper has been stamped with Versamark and embossed with Aqua Tinsel embossing powder. The flowers and vase border have been stamped with black Versafine ink and embossed in clear powder.  I have coloured the vases and flowers with a Cyan Flexmarker and a Citrus Aquamarker ( any water based colouring pens will work, you could try your Promarkers but go carefully as it may make the embossed lines smudge.)  The die cut panels are Spellbinders Just Rite Vintage Labels Two and the sentiment is from Creative Expressions. Well like I said less is more or is it just short and sweet?
See you soon  : D

That Vintage Look Crafty Individuals

Hi All !  I'm trying to post but it's a little difficult as my darling granddaughter only seems to want to sleep for just 15 or 20 minuets at any one time and there's only so much you can do in that length of time like make a drink, get a shower but not drying your hair, put some washing on, or heavens forbid finish off the card you have made and it looks like this will be a weekly event until further notice. Oh Oooo there she blows and it's exactly 18 mins long this time, be back shortly folks...
I'm back but not for long me thinks as it's nearly Holly's dinner time so I'd better be quick and show you the cards for this week.  I have used a set of stamps from Crafty Individuals this time and they remind me of very elegant vintage ladies if you know what I mean that kind of era.  Gosh just before I show you I seem to have found something that Holly really like and it's on the TV Ha ha! It's Mr Tumble and she's chattering away to it and clapping her hands how long this will last I know not lol! anyway here they are........

Fish and Chips anyone? (can't fish, won't fish)

Hi everyone!
Gosh I have been run off my feet this weekend with a house full of family all hoping for a barbecue, no chance they all think I have nothing to do with my time only cook well they had to make do with a Chicken dinner which by the way was just as hot to cook as a barbecue would have been, never mind they all got fed in the end lol! Then my daughter decided to have my youngest grandson Tyler stay over on Saturday night and he was here until after tea on Sunday, and today I have had babysitting duties for my youngest granddaughter Holly  since 8.20 am and have not had one minuet to myself until mummy picked her up at 2.30 this afternoon and now has been my only chance to blog so I guess you are all wanting to see what cards I have only just about got through for this week.......
Here they are and it's all about the fish this week!  Woodware's Clear Magic stamps.
There are three different stamp sets

For this C5 Card I have used :-
Distress Ink pad Tumbled Glass.
Adirondak Slate but any coffee or grey colour would work.
Twinkling H2O's Paints Majestic Blue and Bashful Blue (one's bright and one's light in colour)
Black Versafine or Archival.

and a Soft Green Promarker.

The main image has been painted with a water paint brush and ink from the ink pads.
I have painted the text backgrounds with a medium flat paint brush and the H2O's before stamping.

This card is also C5 in size.

Distress Ink Pads
Mustard Seed
Broken China
Mowed Lawn
Black Soot
I have used my cut n dry foam to colour all of my backgrounds on this card.

Clear embossing powder over black ink
I have made the fish background from a template that I made myself and the die cut is from Spellbinders Nestabilities Romantic Rectangles.

I have added just a little spiders web and a bit of string in keeping with the fishing theme.

Sorry it's taken forever to get these on here, see you all soon :)

Black Versafine
Clear embossing Powder
Quickie Glue Pen ( for the gilding flakes on trees & leaves)

Finally another C5 landscape card.

Wax paper has been ironed onto glossy card before stamping with Stazon and the the inks have been added to colour in background.

The background paper I have used on this card is already glittered but you can't see how nice it looks in this photo.
(You will need your Anti-static bag as this panel with the tree's is on glossy card stock and the dots in the background have been made with a dusting brush and mask.) See you all soon and enjoy your sunny weekend  : )  Sheilagh x
