A Warm Welcome - Only Just and Happy Easter

Good morning blog land folk! and a Happy Easter to you all on this bright and sunny Saturday, well what a difference from last weekend. I can safely say that the sun is out and shinning here in our little corner of the world, lets just hope it's going to last for the rest of the weekend. If you cast your minds back to last weekend then some of you will remember it looked something like this, well at least where we live.......

I took these photo's at  the back of our allotment
This was the scene that greeted us out side our back door Bbbrrrrrr !! and the front was no different.

Some poor person will have to get cold if they need to move their car today lol!

Anyway enough of the cold stuff onto the cards for next week when we will be using a set of 12x12 papers and stamps called Hampstead (A warm welcome) by Papermania and the sentiment is from Woodware's Clear Magic set Victorian Spray.

The large panel background is a 5 3/4 inch square of white card stock that has been stamped and embossed in white powder then Distress ink's Aged Mahogany, Spiced Marmalade and Stormy Sky have been used to colour in. The die cut panel has also been coloured with Stormy Sky and the flowers have been stamped onto it in a black ink pad then the flower heads have been stamped in Versamark and embossed in the white powder, cut out and glued on top of the stamped image. I have added faux stitching to the floral border with a fine black pen, and a Pen Touch white pen for the small dots
Less is more with the next two cards, simple by design but effective no less.
Quick and easy to make using very little of the paper and no waste. Both cards were made from only four small strips off four different sheets of the 12x12 paper. Each pack contains 20 patterned papers which include 4 glitter and 4 gloss finishes, they are also acid and lignin free which makes them great for scrapbooking and at £6.95 for the pack you can't go wrong.

As you can see I have stamped the flowers onto coloured card with black ink and then added a little of the H2O paint Majestic Blue to highlight the centres. The small flower border has been stamped using my small Memento ink pads Bamboo Leaves and Summer Sky.
This time I decided to stamp with Versamark and emboss in gold powder just for a different look. Each flower has a gold card Candi centre.
The sentiment stamp which I have used on all three cards is from Woodware's Clear Magic set Victorian Spray and really love the font they have used.
Well that's me done for today I'm off now to do some shopping while the sun is still out, hope you all have a really good Easter Sunday and don't eat too many eggs   Not!!!!!!!!  better still eat them all before the Sun melts them ha! ha!
